Salem Under the Stars: The date has been selected as January 27th, 2017 at 5:00pm. This is the same night as the Family Literacy Event again this year. The event efforts are being partnered with the Tantramar Family Resource Centre, and include, but not limited to, such things as star gazing, glow in the dark soccer and hot chocolate.
Toques for Salem Under the Stars: The idea was brought forward at the last meeting to look into toques for Assocation Members for the night of the Salem Under the Stars event in order to make helping hands more visible to attendees. Mary Dixon offered to look into pricing by getting in touch with Carter’s Sports Cresting in Amherst, with a suggested max cost of $120 for 15-20 toques. Additional information to be presented at the next meeting.
Wall Painting: The Grade 1 Team’s Spider Web Wall Painting project is currently being looked into. Additional information at the next meeting, pending follow-up received.
Soccer Net: A presentation was made to the Committee for a funding contribution of approx. $280 (max $340 CAD with shipping) for the purchase of a new soccer net for the playground. Net specs were shared with the committee for comprehensive purposes. It was noted that the Sackville Youth Soccer Association would purchase the second net if they could use nets during their summer programming. The request was moved by Monique Tower and seconded by Tasha Wilson that the committee move forward with the request, pending receipt of additional information/approval from Administration.
Kiss’N’Drop Project: There was no additional information to present at this meeting.
