About Us

The Salem Home and School Association is a group of parent volunteers that, along with a school liaison, work together to improve all aspects of our children’s school experience.

This includes fundraisers such as the Salem Summer Send-Off and the Holiday Gift Store.

We are then able to host community events such as Salem Under the Stars, Open Gym and Jump Into Spring.

We are also able to financially support our teachers requests for enrichment opportunities for their classrooms. This would include things like Caroling at the Drew Nursing Home, Garnet & Gold’s performance at Convocation Hall and purchasing the Owl Pellets for the Grade 2 curriculum.

Lastly, but certainly not least, we are able to support our teachers by supplying a Mental Health Resource Library, assisting with Workshop costs and we are currently working on a whole new look for our Art Room – a wish made by our teachers.

This is what we strive for as an Association. Working together to support not only our children but our teachers, our school and our community.
